i jus had a job interview. it was at giodano junior, paragon outlet. and i passed it. the experience was really terrifying. zal and i walked past the giodano and we decided to try our luck in there. and so we filled in the forms and then, out of no warning, the person said, " Ok, who wants to get interviewed first." i was shocked. i din noe we were gg to have interview immediately! and zal jus pointed at me. and i was STUNNED. seriously.

Ok, so she got me sitted beside the fitting room and started to look through my profiles.

first que: how u come abt noeing this job
ans: we jus walked past this shop and we decided to try our luck
2nd ques: tell me abt urself in english.
ans: so i did. tell her what i do, etc etc.
ques: is ur face sensitive to makeup? cos this job require sum light makeup.
ans: yes. i am sensitive.
ques: wad abt light lipsticks.
ans: oh, that would be alright.
ques: what is service to you?
ans: basically i jus crapped. jus like what u do in the oral. and i think she forgave me cos i told her its my first job.
ques: give me a reason why i shld give u this job?
ans: i hope u give me this job because i am trying to get more workin exprience before i enter the workforce in the future.

there are lots more ques, but i forgot abt it. and after that we talked about my schedule, and i realised it might be impossible for me to work here. so i said, " can u give me few days to consider? i have to check with my teachers regarding holiday lessons. cos i dun wan to make empty promises."
and she said, " good. i like u. u are honest. yes, call me on tues to confirm whether u are joining or not. " and she put a star on my profile form.

so now the thing is whther i am going for it or not. the pay is good. 6 bucks per hour. heres the conditions. i have to work a minimum of 22 hours a week over a minimum period of 3 mths, which means to say i have to work during the month of january as well. and thats not gonna be good, isnt it?
think abt it. in order to clock 22 hours a week, i have to work 5 hours a day. and that's alright if its in the holiday. but if its in the january, i would have to work FULL DAY on both sat and sunday PLUS 2 days in the weekdays. u think its possible? nahh.

so, my conclusion is that i am not going to take that job.

still waiting for replies from toyrus($5 per hour) , sum kids' clothe ($4 per hour). all these stores are at paragon.

Anyway, we had a really busy day today. we travelled to plaza and then rail mall on bus 184, erm and duno where is that place on bus 67 and then take mrt to causeway point. and then to vista mall(supposedly)

heres wad happen. at causeway pt, sum idiot asked us to donate and we said no a lot of time. den i switched topic, asking, where is vista mall? and that's what she said,
"oh. u can take bus 961 or 966. but take 966 its faster." and so we took 966. we waited 30 mins for the bus. and we were damn pissed at the stupid bus. then we boarded the bus. before we noe it, we are in a highway(PIE or BKE la) and we are like stuck! we cant get down. at that pt of the time, we tot we overshot.

so ended up, we alight at erm... a bus stop opp catholic jc. Ok, then we took bus 153 to another busstop so that we can take bus 190 to orchard. so in orchard, we started gg ard paragon and find jobs. hmmm. not very hopefull though.

den on the way home, we met zal's sis. we talked abt our day and she told us we got tricked. buss 966 doesnt go vista mall at all. it goes all the way to bedok. we were stunned. real stunned. but hey, its not her fault anyway. we were too gullible. and that is smth that we have to learn from. i mean, there will always people like that women around in the workforce. there will be people trying to get you in trouble. so dont be an asshole and fall into their trap. careful is the word.

overall, its a great day for me. its a lesson learnt. we need to be streets smart. and looking for jobs arent easy =)
